The Meeting was attended by representatives from ASEAN Member States (AMS), staff members of the ASEAN Secretariat, and Timor-Leste as observer.

The SCPC27 meeting discussed important topics related to future directions and plans of ACSS activities, including the drafting of ACSS Post-2025 Action Plan, the review of ACSS Monitoring and Evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (M&E KPI), the development of Handbook for Mirror Analysis on International Merchandise Trade Statistics, and the implementation of  Pilot Project on the utilization of Application Programming Interface (API) for AMS data submission. Furthermore, this SCPC meeting had recognized the vital roles of statistical cooperation in addressing the challenges effectively. By enhancing collaboration among ASEAN Member States in data collection, analysis, and dissemination, ACSS could support policymakers with the insights needed to formulate evidence-based strategies for sustainable development and resilience-building efforts.  The ACSS Sub‐Committee on Planning and Coordination (SCPC) as the main working body of ACSS plays an important role to achieve this objective.

SCPC will continue to coordinate and implement the activities discussed in this meeting so that they can achieve the results as expected, and will further contribute to the strengthening of ASEAN statistical cooperation and the enhancement of ASEAN statistics. The activities also will be reported to the 14th Session of ACSS Committee on November 2024.
